Jubilant First Trust Healthcare Limited (JFTHL) was formed in February 2007 as a subsidiary for driving the healthcare initiative of Jubilant Life Sciences Limited, a part of Jubilant Bhartia group.

Jubilant Kalpataru Hospital, is an integral part of Jubilant First Trust Healthcare Limited.

The Jubilant Bhartia Group is committed to create an affordable, world class healthcare delivery system for the middle and lower income-group people, living across West Bengal, including the distric ts and villages.

JFTHL represents coming together of the vast ‘Jubilant’ resources, expertise and global presence with a group of doctors based in West Bengal. The doctors group have all been trained abroad, with experience of developing and managing healthcare services in a cost-effective and quality-focussed environment.

The Company has its registered office at Noida; with operational office in Barasat, West Bengal.

The group has set up 2 hospitals in West Bengal – at Barasat (JKH) & Berhampore (RNTD&MCC).The group has future plans to set up a network of hospitals in West Bengal, in a hub-and-spoke manner”

The focus is on establishing a modern healthcare network beyond the metro limits to the districts where the majority of the population lives – thereby increasing access to quality healthcare for a larger section of the population.

The Company is focussed on lowering the cost of care – through a scientific process involving resource rationalisation, operating process improvement, appropriate use of Information Technology, judicious HRD intervention – and above all, nurturing a team of doctors towards building an institution of excel lence through adopting international best practices in evidence-based care and protocol-based approach to treatment. All these steps, at the same time, contribute to improving the quality of care.

The three critical planks of our service model are :
Community Connect – through our innovations, Nightline Card & RCV project, we are building a relationship with the community directly through a value-chain; this further red uces cost of care, while reaching ‘care’ to the doorsteps of the beneficiaries

In collaboration with Operation Smile, an NGO, we have set up the first Cleft Care Centre in India at our Hospital. We have operated on more than 550 children from poor socio-economic background – free of cost to the patient; the cost of surgery being partly subsidised by us, and partly funded by Operation Smile. This collaboration was started in 2008 and the response is quite encouraging as more and more families are coming forward and reaping the benefits of the surgeries with a hope to heal their children’s smiles.
